The Cerbo GX MK2 from Victron Energy is an advanced communication hub designed for the integration and control of complex energy systems. It centralizes monitoring and management of various Victron components, such as inverters, solar chargers, and batteries, providing a real-time overview of system performance.
Enhanced Connectivity and Integration
Compared to previous models in the GX range, the Cerbo GX MK2 includes several significant improvements. It features 3 VE.Direct ports, 2 VE.Bus ports, and 3 functional USB ports, an upgrade from earlier versions where one USB port was dedicated to powering a GX Touch display. The Cerbo GX MK2 also includes 2 VE.Can ports (VE.Can 1 and VE.Can 2), with isolation for VE.Can 1, a feature absent in previous models that only offered one VE.Can port and an unisolated BMS-Can port. This extended connectivity ensures seamless integration with a wide range of Victron products and third-party devices, including an NMEA 2000 output for chartplotters.
Advanced Monitoring and Control
With the Cerbo GX MK2, users can instantly monitor battery state of charge, energy consumption, photovoltaic production, as well as tank levels and temperatures via 4 resistive level inputs and 4 temperature probe inputs. The 4 programmable digital inputs now support pulse counting in addition to state monitoring (open/closed) for alarms. The device also enables automatic generator start/stop and adjustment of shore power input current limits to optimize system performance. The 2 programmable relay ports can be configured for various control functions.
Remote Management and Flexibility
The Cerbo GX MK2 simplifies remote management via the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal and the VictronConnect app, allowing tracking of alerts, diagnostics, and firmware updates. Its physical design includes 180-degree rotatable RJ-45 connectors for simplified cable handling and DIN rail compatibility for flexible installation. Integrated WiFi and Bluetooth provide wireless connectivity options. It can be paired with optional GX Touch 50 or GX Touch 70 touchscreens for a local user interface.
