The Victron Energy EasySolar 12/1600/70-16 MPPT 100/50 is an all-in-one solar power solution. It integrates an MPPT solar charge controller, a MultiPlus Compact inverter/charger, and AC distribution in a single enclosure, designed for simplified installation with reduced wiring. This system is particularly suited to applications requiring complete energy management from solar and AC sources while minimizing footprint and installation complexity.
Integrated features and performance
At the core of the EasySolar 12/1600/70-16 is a MultiPlus Compact 12/1600/70 inverter/charger capable of delivering 1600 VA (1300 W) continuous power and 3000 W peak power. It operates with a 12 V battery voltage, providing a 70 A charge current for the service battery. The AC input voltage range is 187 to 265 V AC, with a 230 V AC ± 2% output at 50 Hz ± 0.1%. The integrated PowerAssist technology protects grid or generator power from overloads by adding inverter power when necessary, a feature that distinguishes it from more basic inverter/chargers like the Phoenix Inverter range.
Advanced solar control and AC distribution
The BlueSolar MPPT 100/50 solar charge controller manages up to 700 W of PV power for a 12 V system, with a maximum output current of 50 A and a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 100 V. Its efficiency reaches 98%. It features ultra-fast MPPT technology that improves energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM controllers and 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers, particularly under cloudy conditions or partial shading. The integrated AC distribution includes a 30 mA/16 A residual current device (RCD) and four AC outputs protected by two 10 A and two 16 A circuit breakers, one of which is controlled by the AC input. The enclosure dimensions are 745 x 214 x 110 mm, weighing 15 kg, with IP21 protection.
