Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding marine and terrestrial power systems, the Victron Energy Quattro 24/3000/70-50/50 is a versatile inverter/charger integrating two AC inputs and two AC outputs with transfer switches, as well as UPS functionality. This 24 V model delivers a continuous power output of 3000 VA (2400 W) at 25 °C and a peak power of 5500 W, with a maximum efficiency of 94 %. It differs from Victron MultiPlus inverter/chargers by its ability to manage two independent AC sources, such as the public grid and a generator, or two generators, ensuring automatic switching to the active source.
Advanced energy management and charging features
The Quattro 24/3000/70-50/50 includes PowerControl and PowerAssist functions. PowerControl allows setting a current limit on each AC input to prevent overload of the generator or shore power, optimizing the use of available current for charging. PowerAssist increases available power by compensating for AC current shortages with battery energy, then recharges the battery with surplus power. Its adaptive 4-stage battery charger provides a maximum charging current of 70 A for the service battery and 4 A for the starter battery. The battery management system is optimized for various battery technologies, including LiFePO4 batteries, with features such as BatterySafe and temperature compensation.
System integration and reliability
Featuring a main AC output with "no-break" function (transfer in less than 20 milliseconds), the Quattro 24/3000/70-50/50 ensures uninterrupted power supply for sensitive equipment. A second AC output is available for non-critical loads that should not discharge the battery in the absence of an external AC source. This model can be configured for three-phase systems or for parallel operation, allowing increased power and charging capacity. VE.Bus communication, three programmable relays, and two analog/digital input/output ports facilitate integration into complex systems, remote monitoring, and configuration via GX devices such as the Cerbo GX, the VictronConnect app, and the Victron Energy VRM portal.
