The Victron Energy VE.Direct Schuko inverter (PIN241251200) is a power inverter designed to convert 24V DC into 230V AC at 50Hz, with a continuous output power of 250W at 25°C (200W at 40°C). It belongs to the new generation of VE.Direct inverters, offering improved power density (per kilogram and per cubic decimeter) and better high-temperature performance compared to previous models. This specific model is equipped with a Schuko output socket (CEE 7/4).
Advanced connectivity and configuration
The VE.Direct series, which includes the PIN241251200 model, features a VE.Direct communication port. This port allows the inverter to be connected to a computer via a VE.Direct to USB interface cable, or to Apple and Android smartphones and tablets via a VE.Direct Smart Bluetooth dongle. This connectivity provides full configuration capabilities, including battery low-voltage alarm trigger and reset levels, cut-off and restart thresholds, dynamic cut-off (load-dependent), output voltage (210-230V) and frequency (50 or 60 Hz) adjustment. The ECO mode is also fully configurable, allowing the inverter to enter standby when the load drops below a predefined value (minimum load of 15W), reducing standby consumption to 1W for a 24V model.
Performance and system integration
This inverter integrates a full-bridge topology with a toroidal transformer, known for its reliability. It is protected against short circuits and overheating caused by overload or high ambient temperature. Its high start-up capability is suitable for inductive loads such as LED power converters, halogen lamps, or electric tools. For applications requiring automatic transfer to another AC source, Victron Energy recommends using the Filax automatic transfer switch, which ensures a switching time of less than 20 milliseconds. Compared to higher-end models in the VE.Direct range, such as the 1200W or 1600W versions, this 250W model is ideal for modest power requirements, offering the same integration and configuration features in a compact and energy-efficient format. The DC connection is made via screw terminals, requiring no special tools for installation, and a remote on/off switch can be connected for easier management.
