Archambault A35: the IRC racer-cruiser by Joubert-Nivelt from 2006

The A35 is a sailboat designed for racing and cruising, measuring 10.60 m in length, designed by Joubert-Nivelt Design and built by Archambault in Dangé-Saint-Romain between 2006 and 2013.

Design and construction

Typical Joubert-Nivelt hull from the early 2000s: fine appendages, deep bulb keel (2.10 m), fractional rig 9/10 with fractional asymmetric spinnaker. GRP sandwich hull built by infusion/injection, standard aluminum mast, carbon option.

Model achievements and recognition

The model was awarded Sailing Boat of the Year 2007 by Voile Magazine, and Best Crossover Boat by Sailing World at the Boat of the Year Awards 2009. In racing, the A35 "Prime Time" won the Rolex Fastnet Race 2009 in IRC Division 2 against 76 competitors. The model also won the Spi Ouest-France and the Transquadra, and remains active in IRC circuits and short-handed racing.
