The adhesion of an adhesive is directly linked to surface preparation. Thorough degreasing and, if necessary, light sanding are essential to guarantee a lasting bond. Choosing the right adhesion primer, compatible with the materials being bonded, is also a crucial factor.

• Degreasing cleaner for surfaces: Essential for removing oils, greases and other contaminants.
• Adhesion primer for plastics: Improves adhesion on difficult plastics, such as polypropylene.
• Fine grit sandpaper: To create a gripping surface without damaging materials.

The marine environment imposes specific constraints: humidity, temperature variations, vibrations, and UV exposure. The adhesives and sealants selected must withstand these stresses to guarantee a durable and watertight bond. • Sikaflex 291i: Multi-purpose polyurethane sealant, ideal for sealing and flexible bonding.
