Detailed description

The RY-ANT2 passive external GPS antenna is an optional accessory for compatible VHF radios. The official RT950/RT950AIS-N2K manual (page 5) lists this reference for the external GPS antenna connector. It states that GPS data received through this connector takes priority over the built-in receiver and recommends positioning the antenna with an unobstructed view of the satellites.

The Navicom professional product page also lists RT750V2, RT850 V2, RT1050 and RT1050 AIS. Check your radio’s exact model before ordering. RY-ANT2 is the passive antenna; the active RY-ANT is a different reference.
