Detailed description
Detailed description
The B&G AA010212 20-metre connection cable links B&G, Simrad and Lowrance Broadband 3G and 4G radar systems. It provides data connectivity between the scanner antenna and the RI10 interface box, to compatible multifunction displays. Its 20-metre (66-foot) length allows the antenna to be mounted at masthead or on a arch. Broadband radars have instant-on capability, low power consumption and no blind zone (« main bang »), unlike pulse radars.
Compatibility and specifications of the AA010212 cable
This cable is compatible with Navico’s Broadband 3G and 4G radar range. It features a proprietary 14-pin connector on the scanner side and terminates in a standard RJ45 connector for the RI10 interface box. It is not compatible with the newer HALO series radars, including models HALO2000, HALO3000, HALO20, HALO20+ and HALO24, which use a different cabling architecture. Cables of 10 m and 30 m are also available. The cable diameter is 23 mm.
Marine environment design
The B&G AA010212 cable resists UV rays, salt water and temperature variations. This construction protects radar data transmission after prolonged exposure to the elements.
