Detailed description
Detailed description
The BEP 800-MS4 battery management panel is designed for power distribution on 9 to 12-metre sailboats and up to 10-metre motorboats equipped with a single engine. This pre-assembled module integrates battery management and circuit protection functions in a thermo-lacquered aluminium housing with a recessed white fascia.
Features and Technical Specifications
The BEP 800-MS4 is compatible with 12V and 24V DC systems, supporting a maximum voltage of 32V DC. It provides efficient management with a continuous current of 275 amperes DC, an intermittent current of 455 amperes DC, and a cranking current of 1250 amperes DC. Power consumption in the off position is 15 mA. Robust connections are ensured by two 10 mm (3/8”) tinned copper studs with nuts. The panel accepts cables with a maximum recommended size of 50 mm², with an absolute maximum of 70 mm² if a pull relief is applied.
Integration and Expandability
This panel includes provisions for essential circuits and 24-hour power circuits. It features main circuit breakers for control panels, anchor winches, or processing systems. It is also equipped with robust circuit breakers for windlasses and a 702B negative stud. The BEP 800-MS4 ships with a complete set of labels for circuit breakers (reference SET-MSP) and offers spare positions for adding two additional battery switches and a second series 'C' circuit breaker for other high-load applications, such as radio batteries or generator batteries. The panel allows independent isolation of starting and service batteries, as well as an emergency parallel function for both batteries. It contains four Mini 113548 battery master switches, a Bussmann heavy-duty circuit breaker for the windlass, four series 'B' circuit breakers for essential 24-hour power, and a 100-ampere series 'C' circuit breaker for main DC power. Its dimensions are 160 mm (height) x 239 mm (width) x 75 mm (depth).
