Detailed description
Detailed description
The B&G 213 mast cable (50m) connects the 213 Masthead Unit wind transducer/vane anemometer to onboard computers and displays. It transmits wind data (speed and angle) from the masthead.
Data transmission
Unlike NMEA 2000 backbone cables, the 213 mast cable uses a multi-core architecture with braided shielding. This shielding isolates analog signals from electromagnetic interference (VHF, radar, AIS) present in a mast. It powers the algorithms of B&G H5000 navigation systems or H3000 systems.
Marine environment design
The 50-metre length is suited to large sailboats, from offshore racing monohulls to superyachts. The outer jacket is UV-resistant and resists salt corrosion. Pre-moulded connectors ensure watertight integrity at the masthead.
