The Blue Sea 5007100-BSS Class T fuse block is designed for rapid protection of inverters and high-capacity battery banks. This device handles a fuse range of 110 to 200 A and a maximum operating current of 160 A at 160 V DC. It meets the ignition protection requirements of ISO 8846 and SAE J1171, allowing installation in compartments where explosive vapors may be present.
Design and Technical Specifications
This fuse block features a four-terminal design, facilitating access for installing large cable lugs without obstruction. The supplied insulating cover meets ABYC/USCG insulation requirements, with cutouts allowing cable access from all directions. The 1/4"-20 stainless steel studs accept M6 ring terminals, providing corrosion resistance and high torque capacity. The one-piece stainless steel serrated flange nuts ensure secure connections with a maximum torque of 8.13 N·m (72 in-lb). The UL 94-V0 base resists high temperatures, ensuring long-term reliability. The fuse mounting bus is tin-plated copper for optimal conductivity.
Positioning and Compatibility
With dimensions of 177.8 mm (7.00 in) in length and 58.4 mm (2.3 in) in height, the 5007100-BSS is a compact solution for marine electrical systems. Within the Blue Sea range, this model targets intermediate current requirements, compared to the 5502100 Class T fuse block which handles 225 to 400 A fuses and a maximum current of 320 A. The 5007100-BSS is specifically suited for applications requiring rapid and reliable protection in the 110 to 200 A range. Class T fuses are sold separately.
