Detailed description
Detailed description
The BLUE SEA ST-Blade 5056 waterproof fuse block provides reliable circuit protection in demanding marine environments. This compact device is rated IP66 when mounted and gasketed, ensuring resistance to powerful water jets and harsh sea conditions. It is compatible with ATO, ATC, and EasyID fast-blow blade fuses, as well as low-profile ATO/ATC circuit breakers.
Design and Technical Specifications
This fuse block features tinned copper C11000 bus bars and fuse clips, ensuring conductivity and corrosion resistance. It supports a maximum voltage of 32V DC and a maximum current of 80A per block, with 25A per circuit. It accepts an 8 AWG to 4 AWG input wire and four 16 AWG to 10 AWG load wires, allowing installation flexibility with standard ring or fork terminals. Integral plugs maintain the waterproof rating when fewer than four loads are required.
Integration and Differentiation
The 5056 model differs from the 5056100 version by its screw-on cover, which requires a tool for fuse access. This makes it suitable for installations where less frequent access is planned or where tool-secured closure is preferred. Unlike the 5056100 model (which uses wing screws for tool-free access and meets ABYC E-11.4.27 requirements for quick-access panels), the 5056 does not comply with ABYC requirements for main panels requiring tool-free access. It can be nested with other ST-Blade fuse blocks (5056 or 5056100) and the 100A waterproof busbar (2356 or 2356100) from Blue Sea for modular, organized installations. The block ships with four inscriptible circuit labels and includes integrated storage for spare fuses and fasteners in the cover.
