Deeper START — wireless portable fishfinder

The Deeper START is a depth sounder designed for users requiring a flexible and quick-to-deploy underwater exploration solution. Its portable and wireless nature makes it an ideal tool for occasional use or from platforms where a fixed installation is impractical or undesirable. It is thus aimed at shore anglers, dock users, or those using lightweight boats such as kayaks or float tubes, where the bulk and installation complexity of traditional depth sounders are limiting factors. Its implementation is simplified, requiring no permanent mounting on a hull or transom.

This type of depth sounder is particularly relevant for rapid exploration of unknown areas or for itinerant fishing sessions. It offers the ability to scan the bottom and detect structures without the commitment of heavy equipment. However, it is important to note that its portable design is intended for low-speed use, and it will not replace a fixed fishfinder-chartplotter system for coastal or offshore navigation, nor for applications requiring detailed mapping or high-speed performance. Its strength lies in its convenience and ability to provide an underwater view where conventional equipment cannot be easily deployed.
