FR-8 — 8.4" radar display for DRS2D-NXT or DRS4D-NXT radome, antenna and antenna cable not included

Designed as a dedicated display solution, the FURUNO FR-8 8.4-inch radar screen is compatible with DRS2D-NXT and DRS4D-NXT radomes. It offers an SVGA resolution of 800 x 600 pixels for clear and detailed visualization of radar information. This monitor is suitable for marine environments, operating within a temperature range of -15° C to +55° C, with IP55 waterproofing on the front panel and IP22 on the rear panel.

Advanced Radar Features

The FR-8, when paired with NXT radomes, integrates advanced features for safety and navigation. Target Analyzer™ enables instant target evaluation, while Fast Target Tracking™ ensures tracking of up to 100 targets with rapid updates. True Echo Trail and AIS display complete the detection suite. RezBoost™ technology enhances target separation, providing a sharper radar image. Range scales range from 0.0625 to 48 NM with DRS2D/4D-NXT radomes.

Display Modes and Connectivity

The FURUNO FR-8 screen offers multiple display modes, including Head-up, Course-up, North-up, True motion, and Stern-up, allowing users to select the most relevant representation for their navigation situation. For integration into the onboard system, it features multiple ports: three NMEA0183 (two input/output, one input), one NMEA2000, one LAN, one USB, and one dry contact. This connectivity ensures seamless integration with other marine electronic equipment.
