Detailed description
Detailed description
Garmin marine charts for the Benelux and western Germany provide a comprehensive mapping solution, integrating Garmin and Navionics content. Designed for compatible Garmin chartplotters, including the GPSMAP® and ECHOMAP™ series, they deliver detailed cartography of the region’s coastlines, lakes, and rivers.
Extended geographic coverage
This mapping covers the North Sea coasts in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, as well as the Benelux inland waterways. It extends to the German Baltic Sea coast, including Wismar, the Kiel Canal, the Wadden Sea, IJsselmeer, and the Rhine up to Koblenz. Major ports such as Calais (France), Antwerp, Amsterdam, Rotterdam (Netherlands), and Hamburg (Germany) are also detailed.
Advanced navigation features
Garmin Navionics+ and Vision+ charts include features such as daily chart updates via a one-year subscription included. Garmin’s Auto Guidance+™ technology combines Garmin and Navionics routing functions to suggest port-to-port routes, accounting for boat parameters and chart data. The Depth Range Shading function highlights specific target depths with up to 10 color options. Contours down to 0.5 m (1') provide a representation of the seabed structure for fishing and precise details in marshlands, canals, ports, and marinas. Shallow Water Shading allows setting a custom depth to identify shallow waters to avoid. Access to the ActiveCaptain® community provides crowdsourced points of interest (POIs), such as marinas and anchorage zones. The Plotter Sync function enables wireless transfer of routes, markers, and updates between the chart and a mobile app. The view is customizable with various map layers and overlay combinations, and the interface uses a Navionics® color palette for route plotting.
Premium options with Garmin Navionics Vision+
The Garmin Navionics Vision+ version offers additional features. It includes High-Resolution Relief Shading for clear visualization of seabed structure, as well as High-Resolution Satellite Imagery for improved situational awareness, especially in unfamiliar ports. Aerial Photos provide clear views of ports, marinas, bridges, and navigation landmarks. The 3D MarinerEye and FishEye views offer additional perspectives above and below the water surface. Sonar Imagery reveals seabed hardness with contrasting colors, and the Dynamic Lake Level function adjusts charts to the current lake water level.
