Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin BlueNet 6 m marine network cable (ref. 010-12528-31) is a dedicated connection cable for the BlueNet network ecosystem, designed to link compatible devices in the Garmin range — chartplotters, fishfinders, network modules — with a 6-meter length suitable for installations on mid-sized sailboats and powerboats.
BlueNet network: Garmin's next-generation connectivity
The BlueNet standard is Garmin’s proprietary network protocol, introduced to replace the classic Ethernet connector used on previous generations of Garmin devices. It allows simultaneous transmission of navigation data and electrical power over a single cable, simplifying onboard wiring. This 6-meter cable is the mid-length version of the range, also available in shorter lengths (0.6 m, 2 m, 4 m) or longer (12 m) depending on installation requirements. Compared to a standard marine Ethernet connection (such as Garmin cable 010-12744-00), the BlueNet cable offers more integrated connectivity and is required for new-generation Garmin devices compatible with this standard.
Compatibility and installation of the Garmin BlueNet 6 m cable
This cable is intended for Garmin equipment featuring a BlueNet port, particularly recent GPSMAP chartplotter models. It is manufactured in Taiwan and weighs 0.37 kg. For shorter distances, Garmin offers versions of 0.6 m and 2 m; for longer distances, the 12 m version (010-12528-33) is available. This cable is sold separately, without additional accessories.
