Designed to extend the capabilities of an existing Garmin ECLIPSE marine lighting system, the ECLIPSE 1-zone extension module from Lumishore adds an independent lighting zone. This module increases the system’s total capacity to up to six distinct lighting zones when paired with an ECLIPSE control hub.
Integration and Compatibility
The ECLIPSE extension module integrates with the ECLIPSE control hub, which can be controlled via Wi-Fi from a smart device (phone/tablet) or via a compatible multifunction display (MFD). It supports Ethernet connectivity to Garmin MFD networks, Raymarine (via Raynet to RJ45 A80151 cable), Simrad/B&G (via Navico 60-0373 conversion cable), and Furuno (via standard CAT5e Ethernet cable). This multi-platform compatibility ensures flexibility for integration in various marine environments. Unlike the main control hub, which manages the initial zones, this module focuses solely on adding one additional zone, enabling system modularity.
Technical Specifications and Features
Operating at 12 V (range 10 to 15 VDC) with a maximum current draw of 0.04 A (module alone) and average power consumption of <0.5 W, this module is designed for energy efficiency. Its construction in robust, flame-retardant, halogen-free ABS with an IP67 rating provides resistance to dust and temporary immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Each added lighting zone includes dimming, color selection, and strobe functions. The "Sound to Light" feature is specifically supported for RGBW lights. Control can be achieved via a momentary switch input or through the ECLIPSE control hub interface. The module is compatible with all Lumishore ECLIPSE lights, whether submerged or above water.
