The Garmin ECLIPSE SMX24, Single Light Surface Mount, Blue and White, is an underwater lighting solution designed for small boats. This model stands out for its surface-mount installation and its ability to provide dual-color lighting in blue and white.
Lighting performance and durability
With a verified luminous output of 3,100 lumens in white mode and a total of 6,975 lumens, the ECLIPSE SMX24 delivers extended illumination thanks to its 90° beam angle. It integrates 12 blue 3 W LEDs and 9 white 5 W LEDs (cold white). Designed to withstand marine environments, its housing is made of marine-grade bronze and its lens of borosilicate glass, ensuring IP68 protection against dust and immersion. Its typical LED lifespan exceeds 50,000 hours.
Simplified installation and control
The ECLIPSE SMX24 is optimized for surface-mount installation on the transom or hull sides, with a recommended depth of 100 to 300 mm below the waterline. Its design includes a driver and 2-wire connections for easy implementation. The system operates on 12 V DC (range 10.5–15 VDC) with a maximum current draw of 2.5 A and an average power of 30 W. Lighting modes (white, blue, strobe, fade) can be activated via a simple on/off switch. For advanced control, the device is compatible with the Garmin Lumishore ECLIPSE control center (sold separately), enabling additional dynamic effects and control via compatible multifunction displays and smart devices via Wi-Fi.
