Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed specifically for freshwater fishing, the Garmin 010-01960-01 transducer is a versatile solution for boaters seeking precise detection capabilities. This model integrates both traditional HD-ID™ sonar and ClearVü™ scanning technology, providing detailed visualization of structures and fish beneath the vessel. Its design allows flexible installation on the transom or an electric motor.
Detailed Sonar Performance
The Garmin 010-01960-01 transducer delivers 500 W of power for its traditional HD-ID™ sonar, operating at frequencies of 77/200 kHz with beam widths of 45° and 15° respectively. This configuration achieves a maximum depth of 579 m (1,900 ft), providing clear fish arches and distinct target separation. Complementing this, the ClearVü™ scanning sonar operates at 500 W using CHIRP frequencies of 455 kHz (435–475 kHz) and 800 kHz (800–840 kHz). Beam widths of 2.5°×53° at 455 kHz and 1.6°×29° at 800 kHz enable detection of objects and structures down to 228 m (750 ft), offering near-photographic imagery of the seabed. A fast-response integrated temperature sensor completes these features, providing essential data for fishing condition analysis.
Installation and Connectivity
The transducer features a 6 m (20 ft) cable and an 8-pin connector, ensuring compatibility with compatible Garmin chartplotters and displays. Its design allows transom mounting at angles from 0° to 70° or installation on an electric motor. The included mounting kit facilitates installation across various boat configurations. Compared to single-band or traditional-only transducers, this model offers a balanced option combining classic fish detection with detailed seabed visualization, without reaching the capabilities of side-scanning (SideVü) or complex "all-in-one" transducers like the GT50 or GT52 series, nor the deep-water performance of dedicated CHIRP transducers. It is optimized for freshwater environments, where its frequency ranges and depth capabilities are most effective.
