Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin LUX SL180 is a flexible CRGBW LED strip light measuring 1500 mm, designed for marine lighting. This fixture provides full-spectrum illumination, including cool white, red, green, blue, and warm white, with adjustable color temperature ranging from 2700K to 6500K for white light. It features 180 LEDs per meter, ensuring dense and uniform light diffusion.
Versatility and installation
With an IP68 rating, the LUX SL180 is suitable for indoor and outdoor installations above the waterline, resisting dust and temporary immersion. The LED strip is supplied in pre-cut lengths sealed at the factory to meet IP68 standards and must not be cut. Installation is simplified with included 3M adhesive backing and screw-in mounting clips. The strip has a minimum bending radius of 50 mm on the vertical axis but must not be bent or twisted on the horizontal axis. It is also UV-resistant and tested for salt spray.
Integration and control
The LUX SL180 requires a Lumishore LUX LED strip driver module to operate, supporting up to 10 meters of LED strips per driver. It integrates with compatible Garmin control systems, allowing management via a multifunction display (MFD), a Lumishore screen, a smart device (via the EOS-LUX control center), or a momentary switch (via the strip driver). Its nominal power is 5 watts per meter, with an input voltage of 23-25V via the driver. Compared to basic marine RGBW lighting solutions, the LUX SL180 stands out for its full CRGBW capability, tunable white, and customization flexibility, positioning it as an advanced ambient lighting solution for recreational and cruising vessels.
