Designed for sailors and anglers, the Garmin marine charts for Europe, Central and West provide a complete charting solution. Supplied on microSD card with SD adapter, they are compatible with Garmin chartplotters and multifunction displays, including the GPSMAP and echoMAP series. They cover coastal areas from the Szczecin Lagoon to Monaco, the Azores, Madeira, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia, Gibraltar, the English Channel, the Channel Islands, and the IJsselmeer. Inland coverage extends to rivers in France, Germany, and the Benelux countries, as well as major lakes such as Maggiore, Como, Garda, Geneva, Constance, and Balaton.
Detailed navigation and advanced features
These charts include coastal and lake content for various navigation environments. They provide bathymetric contours down to 1 meter, enabling detailed visualization of the seabed structure. A one-year subscription to daily updates is included, accessible via the ActiveCaptain® app or the Navionics® chart installation software, ensuring up-to-date chart data.
Route and visualization optimization
Garmin’s Auto Guidance+™ technology combines Garmin and Navionics automatic routing capabilities to suggest a berth-to-berth route, taking into account the desired depth and the boat’s air draft. Depth gradient options allow you to choose up to 10 colors to highlight specific depths, useful for navigation and fishing. The customizable shallow-water gradient clearly indicates areas to avoid. Features such as high-resolution terrain shading, high-resolution satellite imagery, and aerial photos are available, providing enhanced situational awareness, particularly when entering unfamiliar harbors. Some versions of these charts may include 3D views (FishEye View and MarinerEye View) as well as the dynamic lake level function, enriching the marine environment perspective. The ActiveCaptain® community provides useful points of interest (POIs), and users can customize their chart display.
