Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin NMEA 2000 adapter for the GET™ 10 engine tilt sensor converts analog tilt sensor data into NMEA 2000 format. It allows boat owners to display engine tilt information on compatible Garmin displays, such as GMI™ 10 and GMI™ 20 instruments or various GPSMAP chartplotters, without replacing the original analog sensor.
NMEA 2000 Integration and Compatibility
The GET™ 10 adapter specifically converts analog signals into NMEA 2000 digital format, enabling integration into modern marine networks. It can connect either directly to an analog gauge or to the engine tilt sensor. The device is powered by the NMEA 2000 bus (9–16 Vdc) with a maximum power consumption of 1 W and a Load Equivalency Number (LEN) of 2 (100 mA). It includes a NMEA 2000 T-connector for simplified installation on an existing network.
Robust Design and Technical Specifications
With compact dimensions of 24.7 x 17.0 x 78.6 mm and a weight of 365 g, the GET™ 10 adapter is designed for marine environments. Its housing is made of thermoplastic rubber with PVC cables and connectors, ensuring waterproofing compliant with IEC 60529 IPX7, allowing immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. It operates within an extended temperature range from -15°C to 70°C. A 5 cm safety distance from a magnetic compass is recommended to avoid interference. The total cable length is 4.9 m.
