Detailed description
Detailed description
Specifically designed for Garmin GPSMAP® 8400 and 8600 chartplotters, the Garmin OTG adapter cable (part number 010-12390-11) extends the connectivity and power capabilities of your marine navigation system. This 1.8-meter (6-foot) cable is a robust marine-grade solution that enables secure integration of external devices.
Versatile Connectivity and Power
The Garmin OTG (On-The-Go) adapter cable provides a USB power output up to 2.5 W. This power is sufficient to run various USB peripherals, including media sticks such as Chromecast or Roku. Unlike a standard USB connection, this cable is specifically designed for marine environments, ensuring a watertight and durable connection essential for onboard reliability.
Device Integration and Video Streaming
In addition to charging USB devices, the 010-12390-11 cable allows powering streaming devices. Paired with a coupler and an HDMI cable (not included), it enables wireless video streaming to your GPSMAP® 8400 or 8600 chartplotter. This feature turns the Garmin system into an integrated multimedia platform, surpassing pure chart display capabilities and providing an enhanced user experience for the GPSMAP® 8400/8600 series.
