The ICOM IC-M410BB black box fixed VHF is a robust and integrated marine communication solution designed for vessels requiring a high-performance VHF with a discreet installation. This "black box" unit consists of a compact RF module (216 × 79 × 113 mm) to be installed separately, and a remote CommandMic™ HM-195, allowing full control of all functions from the helm station. With selectable output power of 25 W or 1 W, it ensures reliable communication range on TX frequencies from 156.025 to 161.425 MHz and RX frequencies from 156.050 to 162.000 MHz.
Connectivity and Essential Functions
The ICOM IC-M410BB integrates critical safety features, including Class D DSC (Digital Selective Calling), compliant with EN301 025 and EN 300 338-8 standards. It features an internal GPS (GNSS) receiver, including a GPS antenna for the EUR version, ensuring precise position transmission during distress calls without requiring an external GPS source. Connectivity is optimized with NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183, and NMEA 0183-HS interfaces, enabling seamless integration with chartplotters, AIS (external receivers), and other onboard navigation systems.
