The LOWRANCE ActiveTarget 2 Live Sonar system provides real-time underwater imaging with high resolution. Designed for demanding anglers, it offers clear and enhanced visualization of fish, structures, and lures compared to the previous generation. The system operates on a 12/24 V DC power supply with an operating voltage range of 10.8 V DC to 31.2 V DC. Its maximum current draw is 1.5 A at 13.8 V, and it is protected by a 5 A fuse. The entire system is rated IP67 for water resistance, ensuring reliable performance in marine environments. The sounder module weighs 1.86 kg and the transducer 1.21 kg, with a 7.62 m cable.
Advanced visualization capabilities
The ActiveTarget 2 features multiple viewing modes to adapt to various fishing situations. The Forward View mode displays what lies ahead of the boat, the Down View mode reveals the area directly beneath the vessel, and the Scout mode provides an ultra-wide overhead perspective ideal for locating fish schools and distant structures. One of the major improvements in the ActiveTarget 2 is its ability to use multiple transducers simultaneously. With an HDS PRO display, it is possible to obtain synchronized dual views, such as Forward and Scout, or a 270-degree panoramic view using two transducers and a dedicated Scout Wide mount on an electric Ghost motor. This advanced feature reduces interference and provides extended coverage for a better understanding of the underwater environment.
Integration and compatibility
This live sonar system is compatible with LOWRANCE HDS PRO, HDS LIVE, HDS Carbon, and Elite FS multifunction displays. It can also be integrated with Simrad NSS evo3, NSS evo3S, NSO evo3, and NSO evo3S displays; however, Simrad displays may require a software update and only support the standard view. Ethernet connectivity ensures seamless integration with existing onboard networks. The system allows real-time lure presentation tracking, giving anglers the ability to immediately adjust their technique based on fish reactions.
