Designed for sport fishing, the Lowrance ActiveTarget2 real-time sonar module represents an evolution in underwater imaging. It provides high-resolution views of fish and structures in real time, allowing users to precisely observe fish movements and reactions to lures. This system builds on the ActiveTarget range, offering improvements in image fluidity and clarity compared to the previous generation, for faster and more reliable data interpretation.
Technical performance and extended compatibility
The ActiveTarget2 module operates on 12/24 V DC power, accepting a voltage range of 10.8 V DC to 31.2 V DC. Its maximum current draw is 1.5A at 13.8V, with a recommended fuse of 3A. It is designed to operate in a temperature range of -15°C to +55°C and withstands storage from -30°C to +70°C. Its IP67 rating ensures protection against temporary immersion. The module measures 219.3 x 192.1 x 72.9 mm and is surface-mounted. The transducer (sold separately), measuring 149.8 x 82.4 x 58.0 mm, is installed via a bracket and includes a 7.62-meter cable. It is compatible with Lowrance HDS PRO, HDS LIVE, HDS Carbon, and Elite FS multifunction displays, ensuring easy integration into existing navigation systems.
Display modes and data optimization
The ActiveTarget2 offers multiple display modes: Forward (forward-facing), Down (downward-facing), and Scout (wide view), providing full coverage around the boat. Paired with an HDS PRO display, it allows simultaneous multiple views. Adding a second optional ActiveTarget2 transducer extends capabilities with 180-degree views and Scout Wide for even broader monitoring. Image and stabilization settings are optimized to deliver clear, sharp views of fish and structures, even in rough sea conditions. The real-time lure tracking function enables quick adjustments to presentation to improve catch rates. Motor mount options are included, with shaft brackets for Forward, Down, and Scout views, as well as motor brackets for the same views.
