The Mastervolt ChargeMaster Plus 24/60-3 is a next-generation battery charger and inverter, designed as an all-in-one energy solution for demanding marine and mobile systems. This model delivers a nominal output voltage of 24 V with a maximum output current of 60 A for the primary output, capable of charging up to three battery banks with capacities ranging from 200 to 500 Ah. Its unique "Best Friend" design enables simultaneous management of batteries with different chemistries, including Lithium Ion, Gel, AGM, traction, and spiral, while supporting a 12 V starting voltage in a 24 V installation without additional components.
Charge Optimization and Robustness
The 3-stage+ charging process integrates exclusive features such as the Revitalization mode for deeply discharged batteries, Priority Charging to redirect power to the most depleted battery, and Smart Input to charge all three batteries from a single alternator while underway. Temperature compensation (-60 mV/°C) via an included sensor and DC voltage compensation ensure optimized charging and extend battery life. Operational across a very wide input voltage range (80–275 V AC, 35–70 Hz), the ChargeMaster Plus is resistant to voltage fluctuations and extreme temperatures (-25 °C to 80 °C in operation), retaining 80 % of its power at 60 °C. Its IP23 protection rating and vario fan cooling ensure reliability in harsh environments, compliant with CE, ABYC, UL, SAE, CEC/DOE, RCM/C-Tick, RMRS, and RRR standards.
Advanced System Integration
Connectivity is a key advantage, with integrated MasterBus interfaces, and CZone/NMEA 2000 support directly available on this model without additional interfaces. This integration enables seamless communication with displays, shunts, and power systems, simplifying configuration and monitoring via MasterBus or a CZone configuration file. It can also power sensitive communication equipment, highlighting its versatility and central role in modern electrical architectures. Unlike configurations requiring separate chargers and inverters, the ChargeMaster Plus significantly reduces installation complexity and costs, offering a consolidated and high-performance solution.
