Detailed description
Detailed description
The Mastervolt DC Master 48/12-6 converter is designed to provide a stable 12V output from a 48V battery bank. Ideal for marine and industrial applications, this non-isolated step-down voltage converter ensures reliable power for sensitive 12V electronic equipment, with a continuous output of 6A and peaks up to 8A for two minutes. Thanks to its high-quality switching technology, it delivers efficient energy conversion with perfectly controlled heat dissipation.
Electrical performance and integration
Accepting an input voltage range of 40 to 62 V DC, this model delivers a stabilized nominal voltage of 13.6 V, protecting your navigation instruments, LED lighting, or communication systems from voltage fluctuations on board. With a no-load consumption of less than 100 mA, the DC Master 48/12-6 preserves the autonomy of your 48V battery bank. Unlike the isolated models in the Mastervolt range, which galvanically separate circuits, this non-isolated version offers an ultra-compact design (89 x 87 x 50 mm) and a reduced weight of 415 grams, making it ideal for confined spaces where a common ground does not cause ground loop issues.
Robust design for marine environments
The anodized aluminum and fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate housing provides excellent mechanical strength and passive heat dissipation without a fan, ensuring completely silent operation. Certified IP53, it resists water splashes and dust. Installation is simplified by a dedicated mounting bracket onto which the unit clips, and by Faston-type electrical connections for quick and secure wiring. For higher power requirements on a 48V network, consider the DC Master 48/12-9A or 48/12-20A models from the same range.
