The Mastervolt Mass Sine 12/2000 pure sine wave inverter is designed to provide continuous and reliable power in the most demanding marine environments. It converts 12V battery bank voltage into clean 230V AC power, ensuring flawless operation of sensitive electrical equipment. Unlike the AC Master range intended for occasional leisure use, the Mass Sine series is built for professional and semi-professional applications with an exceptional MTBF (mean time between failures) of 180,000 hours. Additionally, its standalone inverter design, as opposed to combined models like the Mass Combi, offers total flexibility in sizing your charging system.
Performance and technical specifications
This inverter delivers a continuous power output of 1800 W at 40 °C, a P30 power of 2000 W, and can handle very high startup surges up to 4000 W. This peak capacity is ideal for smooth startup of complex and power-hungry equipment. Its high-frequency switching technology ensures high efficiency of 92% while avoiding electrical humming. Standby power consumption is particularly low, at just 50 mA (0.6 W) in energy-saving mode. The unit weighs 14.6 kg and measures 420 x 318 x 130 mm. For secure installation, it requires a 250 A DC fuse and minimum cable cross-section of 70 mm².
Integration and safety
Compliant with IP23 ingress protection standards, the Mass Sine 12/2000 includes comprehensive protections against overheating, overload, short circuits, and abnormal battery voltages. While it operates reliably as a standalone unit, it is also compatible with MasterBus and CZone communication networks via the addition of a MasterBus Inverter interface or an AC Power Analyser. This enables centralized monitoring and control on dedicated displays such as the EasyView 5 or directly on your vessel’s multifunction displays.
