Detailed description
Detailed description
The Mastervolt Mass Systemswitch 16 kW (230 V) automatic switch is the decision-making core of your AC electrical system. Designed to automatically switch between three distinct power sources (generator, shore power, and inverter), it ensures secure and uninterrupted distribution to four specific outputs. With its high-quality relays, it prevents any risk of short-circuit while offering intelligent source priority management, guaranteeing optimal comfort and safety on board.
Advanced source and priority management
This system offers an impressive switching capacity of up to 16 kW, with inputs sized for 63 A (generator), 40 A (shore power), and 25 A (inverter). Priority is always given to the generator, with continuous monitoring of voltage and frequency, and an adjustable start delay of 0 to 10 seconds to preserve the lifespan of the generator set. In the absence of a generator, priority switches to shore power, then to the inverter. The exclusive "load on inverter" mode forces power supply via the inverter to avoid overloading the generator or tripping the shore power circuit breaker.
MasterBus integration and intelligent distribution
Unlike entry-level switches, the Mass Systemswitch 16 kW integrates seamlessly with the MasterBus network, providing complete decentralized monitoring and control. It features four distinct outputs: one exclusive to the inverter (no interruption), one "short break" output (25 A), one power output (40 A), and one dedicated to the generator (63 A). With an ultra-fast switching time (12–22 ms) and low own consumption (less than 1 W in inverter-only mode), it meets the requirements of the most complex marine electrical systems.
