Detailed description
Detailed description
The Multipurpose Contact Output from Mastervolt is a DC relay controlled via the MasterBus data bus. It allows remote control of 12/24 V equipment up to 1 A, such as a fan, a sound alarm, or a generator, based on configurable network events. This module is a simple and reliable solution for adding automated control functions to your onboard electrical system.
A programmable relay for onboard automation
Unlike a standard relay, this module integrates into the MasterBus network and can be controlled by any compatible device (Mass charger, MasterShunt, DC Distribution). It enables automation scenarios: triggering a battery compartment fan when the charger is in fault, activating a sound alarm in case of low battery level, or controlling a generator contactor. The Multipurpose Contact Output offers timing functions (min/max operating time) and a one-second start pulse, essential for certain generators. It stands out from more comprehensive I/O modules (such as the MasterBus Analog Interface) due to its simplicity and low cost, being dedicated to a single switching function.
Simplified installation and integration
The module mounts on a 30 mm DIN rail and connects to the MasterBus network via the supplied cable and connector. Its compact size (66 x 78 x 32 mm) and low power consumption (132 mW) make it discreet and economical. Installation consists of connecting the data bus and wiring the circuit to be controlled to the screw terminal block (dry contact NO/NC/COM, 1 A / 30 V DC). Event configuration is performed via a MasterBus display or the MasterAdjust software. The package includes the screw terminal block, MasterBus cable, MasterBus terminator, and user manual.
