The Mastervolt SCM60 MPPT-MB solar charge controller is the most powerful in its range, designed for medium to large-scale marine solar installations. This MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controller optimizes the energy production of your solar panels, enabling battery charging up to 30% faster than conventional controllers with equivalent solar modules. It automatically adapts to 12, 24, or 48 V battery systems and accepts a solar input power ranging from 600 to 3600 Wp.
Extended performance and compatibility
With a maximum PV input voltage of 145 V, the SCM60 MPPT-MB supports various types of solar panels, including 36, 60, and 72-cell models. This ability to connect multiple panels in series significantly reduces the required cable lengths, minimizing power losses and simplifying installation. Its maximum efficiency exceeds 98%, with a maximum power point (MPP) efficiency of 99.9%, ensuring optimal energy conversion. The maximum charge current is 60 A at 40°C, with a nominal PV current of 50 A at the same temperature. It is protected against overvoltages on the solar input and induced overvoltages from storms.
MasterBus integration and advanced safety
The SCM60 MPPT-MB natively integrates with Mastervolt’s MasterBus network, offering advanced centralized monitoring and control functions. This connectivity enables advanced automation of your energy system, such as triggering a water heater or direct management of lithium-ion batteries without external relays. The controller features a robust housing with an IP23 protection rating, protecting it against condensation. It includes comprehensive protections against overcharging, battery voltage drops and spikes, overheating, short circuits, reverse polarity, and transient overvoltages, ensuring high operational safety. A battery temperature sensor is included to optimize charge profiles and extend battery life.

Its backlit LCD display provides clear information on PV power, charging status, battery voltage, charge current, alarms, and state of charge. Charge profiles are pre-programmed for AGM, gel, flooded, and lithium-ion batteries and can be selected via the display or the MasterBus network.
