The SmartRemote display from Mastervolt is a compact control screen designed for local monitoring of onboard power equipment. Unlike the complex multifunction displays in the range, this 2.8-inch color monitor (320 x 240 pixels) provides a plug-and-play entry-level solution for consulting and configuring a specific device on the network. Ideal for MasterBus systems, it allows you to check battery status, adjust AC input limits, or control a charger/inverter with a simple three-button interface.

Network integration and compatibility

The SmartRemote natively communicates with the MasterBus network and is powered directly via it (11-14 V), eliminating the need for a dedicated power supply. Its consumption is extremely low, at 180 mW in standby mode, with an adjustable energy-saving mode. It is compatible with a wide range of Mastervolt products, including the CombiMaster and ChargeMaster Plus series, MLI Ultra lithium batteries (models 1250 to 6000), as well as the MasterShunt 500 and 500 CZone. When connected, it automatically detects compatible devices for immediate pairing.

Installation and physical characteristics

Weighing just 75 grams and measuring 72 x 72 x 30 mm, this display fits easily into any layout. Mastervolt's SmartRemote is an excellent tactical solution for decentralizing the display of critical information without overloading the vessel's main network. As an installer, I particularly appreciate its plug-and-play design: it is powered directly via the MasterBus network and requires no complex configuration. It's the perfect tool for local monitoring, for example installed directly next to an MLI Ultra battery bank or a CombiMaster to quickly adjust the shore power limit. However, be aware of its IP20 protection rating; it must be strictly reserved for dry indoor spaces. Its native integration with Blue Sea Systems 360 panels makes it a very professional display for customized electrical panels.

When the screen is active, press any key to display the button menu at the bottom of the screen. Then press the P1 button to turn your converter on or off.
