Designed for anglers, the Minn Kota Ulterra QUEST 182 cm bow-mount trolling motor with transducer adapter is a bow-mount solution that aims to maximize time spent actively fishing. It combines positioning features with transducer compatibility for an improved user experience.
Installation and Flexibility
The Minn Kota Ulterra QUEST motor comes with all necessary components for direct installation on the boat’s bow. For added flexibility, it can also be paired with a Minn Kota quick-release bracket, simplifying mounting and removal. The parts list includes the motor assembly, installation hardware (screws, nuts, washers, reinforcement bars, anti-seize tube), a lanyard with carabiner, a remote control, a stabilizer (specific to 182 cm models), a propeller with mounting kit, a foot pedal with pads, as well as Ethernet cables and a transducer adapter.
Safety and Use
The motor’s design incorporates multiple safety considerations. It is imperative to read the user manual carefully to understand instructions and warnings. Specific precautions are required regarding the rotating propeller, disconnecting the power source when out of the water, and protecting cables. The motor must always be secured for transport, with the orange STOWED indicator on the display panel lit, to prevent unintended movement. During stowing, deploying, and trimming operations, keep fingers clear of hinges, pivot points, and all moving parts, and ensure the motor’s path of travel is clear. The propeller is deactivated during these phases to prevent accidental contact. The motor’s constant sound pressure level during use is below 70 dB(A), and the overall vibration level does not exceed 2.5 m/s².
