Detailed description
Detailed description
The NAVICO IDST-820 sensor is a through-hull plastic solution that simultaneously measures water depth, speed, and temperature. Designed for simplified integration, it provides accurate data via the NMEA 2000 network.
Advanced measurement performance
This sensor delivers depth data at a frequency of 235 kHz, covering a range from 0.5 m to 100 m. Depth data updates occur at 1 Hz. For speed, the IDST-820 sensor integrates a next-generation ultra-reactive impeller, measuring from 0.3 to 45 knots. Speed measurement linearity is achieved from 0.6 knots. Water temperature is measured with an accuracy of ±0.5°C over a range of -10°C to 40°C.
Connectivity and simplified calibration
The NAVICO IDST-820 sensor is NMEA 2000-compatible, requiring a 9 VDC to 16 VDC power supply and consuming less than 200 mA. Its Load Equivalency Number (LEN) is 2. A key feature is its wireless calibration capability via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and the Airmar CAST app, enabling precise speed adjustment from a mobile device. The sensor is designed for hull angles up to 22° and weighs 0.9 kg. It complies with CE IEC 60945 and has a pressure rating of 3 m. The standard DeviceNet NMEA 2000 cable supplied measures 6 meters.
