Accurate depth and water temperature measurements
The Navico DT-800 sensor is a through-hull transducer designed to provide reliable depth and water temperature data. This instrument is an essential component for navigation, safety, and fishing, displaying critical information directly on your compatible multifunction displays. Its robust design ensures durable performance in the marine environment.
Simplified integration with NMEA 2000 network
Equipped with NMEA 2000 connectivity, the DT-800 seamlessly integrates with your existing navigation system. Installation is greatly simplified thanks to the NMEA 2000 standard, which allows for a plug-and-play connection to your boat’s main backbone network. Once connected, the sensor is automatically detected by multifunction displays from Navico group brands (B&G, Simrad, Lowrance) as well as most other NMEA 2000-compatible devices. The sensor is powered by 12VDC directly from the network, eliminating the need for separate power wiring.
Positioning within the Navico range
The DT-800 is positioned as the standard solution for obtaining depth and temperature data. Unlike more complex models such as DST (Depth, Speed, Temperature) transducers that include a paddlewheel for speed, the DT-800 focuses on these two fundamental measurements with high reliability and no external moving parts. It is the ideal choice for sailboats and powerboats that already have a speed source (GPS) and are looking for a simple, robust depth and temperature sensor to enhance their network data.
