Expert opinion

Which VHF radio models is the RY410 cradle compatible with?

The Navicom RY410 spare cradle is specifically designed to be compatible with Navicom RT411 and Navicom RT411+ portable VHF radios. It is not suitable for other VHF models.

What is the main function of the Navicom RY410 spare cradle?

The primary function of the Navicom RY410 cradle is to serve as a spare mount for the RT411 and RT411+ portable VHF radios. It is designed to hold your device securely in place, replacing a damaged or missing original cradle.

Is the RY410 cradle supplied with a charger or other accessories?

No, the RY410 cradle is sold as a "cradle (mount) only". It is designed to replace the original physical mount of your VHF radio. It does not include a charger (such as the RY415, RY412 or RY416), battery, belt clip, lanyard or other accessories, which are sold separately.

How to install the Navicom RY410 cradle?

The RY410 cradle is a replacement part designed to replace the original mount for your RT411 or RT411+ VHF radio. Installation typically involves securing the new cradle in the designated location. However, the specific fasteners for mounting on a surface (screws, anchors, etc.) are not included with the cradle and must be provided by the user if needed.

Does the RY410 cradle allow charging of the VHF radio?

The RY410 cradle is the physical mount where the RT411 or RT411+ VHF radio is placed. Although the cradle itself does not contain the charging electronics, it is the interface that allows the radio to be connected to a compatible charger (such as the RY415, RY412, or RY416, sold separately) to recharge the device’s battery. It ensures the radio remains stable during charging.

Is the Navicom RY410 cradle suitable for marine environments?

Yes, the Navicom RY410 cradle is a replacement accessory designed by Navicom for Navicom portable VHF radios (RT411 and RT411+) specifically intended for marine use. It is therefore built to withstand typical conditions of this environment, such as humidity and spray, to ensure the durability of your equipment.
