Detailed description

Designed for producing hot water on board, the Quick B3 15 L Water Heater – 300 W / 12 V is a cylindrical solution. It features a 15-litre tank.

Construction and materials

The inner tank is made of 1.5 mm thick AISI 316 stainless steel, welded under argon atmosphere for corrosion resistance. The heat exchanger, also in AISI 316L stainless steel, provides high thermal exchange capacity. Insulation is ensured by rigid closed-cell polyurethane foam injected between the lid and the tank for thermal retention. The outer casing is made of composite. The electric heating element is made of Incoloy.

Performance and safety

This water heater operates at 12 V with a power output of 300 W. It can produce hot water via its electric element, equipped with an adjustable safety thermostat, or through the heat exchanger using engine cooling water. The maximum working pressure is 600 kPa (6 bar), tested at 800 kPa (8 bar). The operating temperature is adjustable from 40°C to 80°C, factory-set at 60°C, with a safety temperature of 90°C. A pressure and non-return valve is included for protection and draining.

Installation

With a diameter of 300 mm and a length of 405 mm, the Quick B3 water heater weighs 6.2 kg empty. It is equipped with adjustable stainless steel mounting brackets for installation on a flat surface, allowing horizontal or vertical mounting. The connections have a diameter of 1/2 inch.

12 V electrical protection

The Quick manual requires a control switch and a 30 A fuse on the 12 V power supply. Cable sizing must be adapted to the circuit length and carried out by a qualified installer.
