Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for installing the Raymarine RV-100 RealVision™ 3D transducer, the R70521 rear-mount bracket is the standard solution for secure attachment to the transom of vessels. This accessory ensures stable and precise positioning of the transducer, essential for optimizing 3D sonar, DownVision, SideVision, and CHIRP data collection.
Sonar positioning and optimization
The R70521 bracket allows installation of the RV-100 transducer to minimize interference from turbulence and aeration. Proper positioning is critical for sonar image quality and detection of underwater structures. Installation requires selecting a location away from propellers to avoid wakes, and from hull elements such as chines, ribs, rivet rows, or strakes that can generate disturbances.
Integration and mounting alternatives
Unlike specific mounts such as other dedicated mounts (e.g., for trim cylinders or hull/chine), the R70521 is optimized for standard transom configurations. It is the default choice for boats with a transom offering sufficient and undisturbed space for the transducer, ensuring nominal performance of the RealVision™ 3D system.
