Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding sailors, the Raymarine Cyclone 4' open array antenna (E70629) is a key component of the Cyclone open array radar series. This unit is intended for integration into a complete radar system, providing advanced target detection and tracking capabilities through Doppler technology.
Design and Technical Specifications
The Cyclone 4' open array antenna has a maximum length of 1374 mm in rotation. Its design includes M10 mounting points (4 positions) spaced 70 mm apart, ensuring a secure installation on a compatible mast base. The minimum cable bend radius is 52 mm, allowing flexibility when routing power and data connections. Cable exits are available at the rear and center of the unit, offering installation options.
System Integration and Performance
The E70629 antenna is compatible with Raymarine multifunction displays running LightHouse software, enabling access to Doppler and ARPA (Automatic Radar Plotting Aid) target acquisition features. Unlike smaller radar domes such as the Raymarine Quantum, the Cyclone 4' open array antenna is optimized for longer ranges and better target separation, suitable for vessels requiring detailed radar monitoring. For full operation, it requires a mast base and a VCM100 voltage converter module, sold separately.
