Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine Quantum Data Cable 5M (reference A80274) is an essential component for integrating Raymarine Quantum and Quantum 2 Doppler radomes into your navigation system. Designed to ensure reliable data transmission over a 5-meter distance, this cable enables a wired connection between the Quantum radar and a compatible multifunction display via a RayNet interface. This connectivity provides access to advanced radar features, such as Doppler technology for identifying moving targets.
Raymarine Quantum connectivity and compatibility
This cable is specifically sized for installations requiring a 5-meter link. It interfaces critical radar data, including target and image information, to compatible Raymarine multifunction displays. Unlike Wi-Fi-only setups, a wired connection via this cable offers increased robustness and minimal latency, particularly advantageous in complex marine environments. It integrates seamlessly into the Raymarine ecosystem alongside power cables dedicated to Quantum radomes.
Integration into the navigation system
Raymarine’s Quantum range, with its lightweight and energy-efficient radomes, requires stable data transmission to fully leverage its capabilities. The Quantum Data Cable 5M is a key link in this chain, allowing users to benefit from CHIRP processing and Doppler technology on their Axiom, Element, or other compatible MFD screens. For installations where the distance between the radome and the display exceeds 5 meters, other lengths of Quantum data cables are available to suit different vessel configurations.
