Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine T912 hull transducer interface is a dedicated module for connecting depth, speed, and temperature sensors to your boat’s 12/24 V DC power supply. Designed to collect and transmit transducer data, it centralizes critical navigation and performance information. This unit is a key component for Raymarine instrument systems requiring analog sensor data integration.
Installation and wiring
The T912 requires specific installation to ensure proper operation and longevity. It must be mounted at least 50 cm above the waterline in a well-ventilated area, not in a watertight compartment to prevent moisture or heat buildup. The unit installs vertically with cables exiting from the bottom. Installation uses three 2.5 mm holes with the supplied self-tapping screws. Care must be taken when tightening screws to avoid damaging the housing.
Transducer cable connections must follow the color code marked on the unit. For Triducers, the ground braid must be connected to the depth connector, not the speed connector, to prevent short circuits. If a speed transducer lacks a temperature sensor, the brown and white wires of the speed connector must be linked. Applying silicone grease to contacts is recommended to enhance conductivity and protection. The unit is compatible with 12/24 V DC power and can be powered by a Raymarine solar panel if no onboard power source is available.
