Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding marine applications, the RULE RL018 livewell pump operates on 24V and delivers a maximum flow rate of 14,300 L/h, or approximately 235 L/min. With a maximum discharge head of 9.7 meters at zero flow, it ensures efficient water circulation for livewells, as well as functions such as tank draining, engine flushing, bilge pumping, deck washing, or deck shower. Its versatility makes it suitable for fluid management on recreational and commercial vessels.
Design and performance
The RULE RL018 is built for robustness, with dimensions of approximately 216 mm long, 133 mm high, and 165 mm wide, weighing 6.66 kg. It is compatible with freshwater and seawater, supporting temperatures up to 80°C for water and 40°C for diesel. Connections are made via 1-1/2" (38 mm) diameter grooved fittings. A 15A fuse is recommended for operation. Compared to other models in the range such as the RL500 (12V, 6A), RL205 (12V, 4.5A), or RL201 (12V, 2.5A), the RL018 stands out with its 24V voltage and substantial flow rate, positioning it for systems requiring high water transfer capacity.
Reliability and maintenance
This model features a robust construction and corrosion-resistant materials, ensuring durability in marine environments. Maintenance is simplified thanks to a removable motor cartridge system via "twist & click" or "push and twist button", allowing easy access to the impeller for cleaning and quick replacement. The advanced design of the RULE RL018 pump includes anti-airlock protection for constant circulation and the ability to handle high inlet pressures, making it compatible with high-speed water intake scoops. A secondary inlet port allows connection of a deck wash pump without requiring an additional through-hull fitting. It is designed to comply with ABYC standards for aquatic invasive species (AIS) decontamination procedures.
