The Scanstrut DS6-P-BLK is a micro composite bulkhead gland designed for watertight cable entry through a deck or bulkhead for cables ranging from 2 to 6 mm. Ideal for sensor installations, antennas, or small electrical cables, this model is part of Scanstrut’s "Seal" family, known for reliability in marine environments. Unlike stainless steel models in the same range (such as the DS6-S), the composite version (-P) offers excellent corrosion resistance without compromising mechanical strength, with reduced weight and lower cost. The DS6-P differs from larger models (DS16, DS21) by its smaller bore diameter (30 mm) and low profile above deck (17 mm), making it particularly discreet and suitable for confined spaces.

Simplified installation and guaranteed watertightness

The DS6-P-BLK is supplied complete with its shell, base, gasket, 6 removable plugs in different diameters (2 to 6 mm), 3 M3x10 screws, and 3 No.4x16 self-tapping screws. Installation consists of drilling a 30 mm hole, selecting the plug matching the cable diameter, and securing the assembly to the deck using the supplied screws. The integrated gasket ensures perfect watertightness without requiring additional sealant, though the use of silicone is recommended for enhanced protection. This system of interchangeable plugs allows adaptation to different cables without replacing the bulkhead gland, offering flexibility for future equipment upgrades.

With an outer diameter of 30 mm and a height above deck of just 17 mm, this bulkhead gland is one of the most compact in the Scanstrut range. It accommodates cables from 2 to 6 mm in diameter and is designed for attachment using 3 screws. The black composite version (BLK) is particularly well-suited to saltwater environments where stainless steel may be prone to pitting corrosion.
