Detailed description

The Standard Horizon E-DC-30 cigarette lighter cord is an accessory designed for powering and charging the Standard Horizon HX400E marine handheld VHF radio. This cable allows the radio to be connected to a 12 V power source via a cigarette lighter socket, providing a practical solution for keeping your device charged during offshore travel.

Reliable Power for the HX400E Radio

The Standard Horizon HX400E, a handheld VHF radio operating on a 7.4 V DC supply voltage, benefits from this cord for effective recharging. The E-DC-30 cable ensures a stable connection to the auxiliary 12 V power supply of your vessel, ensuring your radio remains operational for essential communications.

Integration and Convenience

As an installation option, the E-DC-30 cigarette lighter cord integrates easily into the marine environment. It complements standard charging methods, such as using the PA-45B/C/U* wall charger or the CD-50 charging cradle (both separate options), by offering flexible power directly from the boat’s battery via a 12 V cigarette lighter socket.

Expert opinion
