Detailed description
Detailed description
The Standard Horizon GX6000E fixed VHF is a versatile marine communication solution designed for safety and navigation. It integrates a Class D VHF transceiver with a transmit power of 25 W (high) or 1 W (low) and features built-in AIS and GPS receivers. This combination enables maritime traffic monitoring and precise positioning directly from the main unit.
Communication and safety features
The GX6000E is equipped with a Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC) system, essential for distress calls and individual, group, or all-ship communications. It includes DSC call logs (24 sent, 27 distress, 64 received) and directories for 80 individual and 32 group calls. The voice scrambler function, with 32 or 4 integrated codes, ensures private communications. Scanning modes (dual or triple watch) are included to monitor multiple channels simultaneously. The unit is submersible with an IPX8 rating (1.5 m for 30 minutes), ensuring resistance to marine environments.
Navigation and user interface
Thanks to its built-in GPS receiver, the GX6000E provides positioning data and allows the management of 100 waypoints. The Course Over Ground (COG) accuracy is ±3° for speeds between 1 and 17 knots, and ±1° above 17 knots. The display, measuring 70 x 51 mm, is designed with the E2O menu system (user-friendly) and offers day and night modes for optimal readability in all lighting conditions.
Connectivity and integration
The GX6000E offers extended connectivity options to integrate with your onboard system. It is compatible with NMEA 0183 (versions 2.0 or higher, and NMEA 0183-HS versions 1.01 or higher) for GPS data input and ASN/DSE output. NMEA 2000 compatibility is also ensured with a Load Equivalency Number (LEN) of 1. The device can be connected to remote microphones RAM4 (SSM-70H) or wireless RAM4W (SSM-71H) via an SCU-30 access point, allowing control from multiple stations. It also features outputs for external speakers and 30 W or 40 W public address (PA)/hailing horn functions.
