Detailed description

The Standard Horizon STH-240SW rectangular loudspeaker is an accessory designed to amplify communications and audio signals aboard vessels. With a design optimized for marine environments, it integrates technical features suited for outdoor audio playback.

Technical Specifications and Performance

This hailer is characterized by a rated power of 40 Watts. Its 5 by 8 inch rectangular shape makes it identifiable and may influence its aesthetic integration on various types of boats. These specifications ensure compatibility with public address (PA) systems integrated into marine VHF radios, providing adequate amplification for voice messages and pre-programmed fog signals.

System Integration and Use

The STH-240SW is designed to be connected to the PA speaker outputs of marine VHF transceivers, such as the Standard Horizon GX2410GPS/E model, which features a 30 Watt hailer function with fog signals and monitoring. Dedicated connections for the PA speaker are clearly identified (red positive wire and shielded negative), simplifying installation. It is ideal for broadcasting orders, hailing other vessels, or using regulatory fog signals, thereby enhancing safety and operational efficiency at sea.

Expert opinion

« Expertise : Le haut-parleur PA marin 40W Standard Horizon »
