Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for marine engine instrumentation, the Veratron LinkUp Gateway pyrometer (SKU B00042301) converts exhaust gas temperature (EGT) measurements into NMEA 2000 data. This bridge enables precise monitoring of exhaust gases, essential for engine performance and safety. Its design ensures direct and efficient integration into existing NMEA 2000 networks.
Integration and Key Features
The Veratron LinkUp range simplifies sensor integration into the NMEA 2000 network. This pyrometer-specific gateway eliminates the need for an additional NMEA 2000 converter, reducing wiring and facilitating installation where required. It is powered directly by the NMEA 2000 network, eliminating the need for external power. Its compliance with ISO 8846:1990 allows installation in engine compartments.
Simplified Configuration and Advanced Monitoring
Configuration of the LinkUp Gateway pyrometer is contactless via smartphone using the integrated AirWave/Airlink interface, which uses a passive NFC antenna. This allows setting the sensor type, instance, and alarm thresholds without requiring expensive equipment or power. The gateway is optimized to interface with the Veratron pyrometer thermocouple (N03-320-264), providing a high-precision probe for measuring exhaust gas temperature. The wires are electrically compensated, and the probe has high temperature resistance, enabling early warning of potentially dangerous situations for the engine and helping to prevent severe damage. It can also serve as a guide to optimize fuel consumption. The supported NMEA 2000 PGN is 130316 for exhaust temperature.
