Designed for 24 V marine energy systems and off-grid applications, the Victron Energy Lithium SuperPack 25.6V/50Ah (M8) battery provides a compact and integrated LiFePO4 energy storage solution. This battery stands out within the SuperPack range, which includes 12.8 V models from 20 Ah to 200 Ah, with its nominal voltage of 25.6 V and capacity of 50 Ah, delivering a nominal energy of 1280 Wh at 25 °C. It is specifically suited for 24 V power applications requiring moderate current demands, serving as an alternative to complex lead-acid battery configurations.
Integrated Management and Energy Efficiency
The Lithium SuperPack 25.6V/50Ah integrates a battery management system (BMS) and a safety switch, eliminating the need for additional external components for simplified installation. This BMS disconnects the battery in case of excessive discharge, overcharging, or extreme temperatures (low or high), thereby protecting the product's lifespan. With a round-trip energy efficiency of 92 %, the battery maintains high performance, even in shallow discharge conditions, outperforming lead-acid batteries (average 80 %).
Durability and Flexibility of Use
The SuperPack 25.6V/50Ah is designed to withstand operating modes that would degrade lead-acid batteries, such as prolonged partial discharges. Its lifespan is estimated at 2500 cycles at 80 % depth of discharge (DoD) and 25 °C. The battery supports a maximum continuous discharge current of 50 A and a peak current of 100 A for 10 seconds. The power terminals are M8 type. Batteries in this range can be connected in parallel to increase total capacity, but series connection is not allowed. Operating temperature range is -20 °C to +50 °C for discharge and 0 °C to +45 °C for charging, with automatic low-temperature protection for charging on recent models.
