Detailed description
Detailed description
The Victron Energy MultiPlus 48/2000/25-32 is an all-in-one power solution designed for energy management in marine and off-grid environments. It integrates a pure sine wave inverter, a four-stage adaptive battery charger, and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single enclosure. This combination provides uninterrupted AC power and optimized battery charging.
Technical specifications and performance
This inverter-charger operates with a DC input voltage range of 38 to 66 V and delivers an AC output voltage of 230 VAC ± 2% at 50 Hz ± 0.1%. It provides a continuous power output of 2000 VA at 25°C, or 1600 W at 40°C, with a peak power of 3500 W to handle inductive loads. Its efficiency reaches up to 95%, and standby power consumption is 10 W, reduced to 3 W in search mode. The integrated battery charger handles AC input voltages from 187 to 265 VAC and provides a charging current of 25 A for the service battery and 1 A for the starter battery, with absorption voltages of 57.6 V and float voltages of 55.2 V. The 32 A AC transfer switch ensures a rapid transition in less than 20 milliseconds.
Advanced energy management features
The MultiPlus 48/2000/25-32 is equipped with PowerControl technology, which limits the AC input current from an external source (generator or shore power) to prevent overloads. The PowerAssist function complements this capability by drawing power from the battery via the inverter to increase available power during peak consumption. It supports parallel operation of up to six units to increase total power, and can be configured in three-phase mode with three identical units. The adaptive four-stage charging (bulk, absorption, float, storage) ensures extended battery life, with temperature compensation via the supplied sensor.
Integration and monitoring
The MultiPlus is configured via DIP switches, VE-Config software, or the VE.Bus Smart dongle. Remote monitoring and control are possible via the VRM portal (Victron Remote Management), a Cerbo GX, or other GX products, as well as the VE.Bus Smart dongle. It includes protections against short circuits, overloads, abnormal battery voltages, and excessive temperatures. Its dimensions are 506 x 236 x 147 mm with a weight of 15.5 kg, and it is designed to operate between -40 and +65°C thanks to integrated fan cooling.
